Ragging: Prohibition ,Prevention and Punishment,

The UGC passed the UGC REGULATION ON CURBING THE MENACE OF RAGGING IN HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, 2009 in 2009.These regulations place strict pre-emptive measures, such as housing freshmen in a separate hostel, surprise raids by the anti-ragging squad, especially at night, and the submission of affidavits by all senior students and their parents taking an oath not to engage in ragging, on every college.

The undersigned has established an anti-ragging committee (ARC) and anti-ragging squad committee (ARSC), each of which has a chairman and members, in response to the aforementioned regulation aimed at reducing the threat of ragging. The ARC Chairman has been given the go-ahead to enforce strict regulations, maintain order, and prevent ragging on the college campus.
