Mr. Ravishankar K.M. is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Mysore College of Engineering and Management (MYCEM), Mysuru. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Shirdi Sai Engineering College, Anekal, Bengaluru, and his Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Manufacturing Science and Engineering from Ghousia College of Engineering, Ramanagaram.
He has over 13 years of teaching experience in engineering education. Before joining academia, he worked as an Apprentice Trainee in the Design Engineering Department (Truck Division) at Automotive Axles Limited, Mysuru, where he gained valuable industrial experience in design engineering and manufacturing. Mr. Ravishankar has published a research paper titled “Synthesis and Characterization of Nanomaterials by EBL.” His areas of academic and research interest include: Composite Materials,Non-Destructive Testing (NDT),Industrial Robotics.Machining Science and Metrology He has successfully guided eight undergraduate engineering projects and actively contributes to academic and professional development activities. He has participated in several Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops, and training programmes on Industrial Automation, Modern Technologies in Foundry Practice, Foundry and Forging Technologies, and Innovation and Design Thinking, organized by reputed institutions. He has also actively participated in various online sessions organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and start-up culture among students and faculty members. He is committed to fostering outcome-based education, encouraging practical learning, and motivating students to develop technical competence and innovative thinking.
