Dr. M. V. Srinivasa Rao is currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at MyCEM, Mysuru. He obtained his B.E. degree in Instrumentation Technology from the University of Mysore, M.Tech. degree in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, and Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, with research specialization in Autonomous Mobile Robotics. With over 30 years of teaching experience, he has been actively involved in mentoring and guiding engineering students, fostering academic excellence, innovation, and research. His expertise spans several emerging areas, including Mobile Robotics, Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), the Internet of Things (IoT), Embedded Systems and Machine Learning. He served as the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) for the VGST-funded Centre of Excellence in Cyber Physical Virtual Reality-based Embodied AI Robotics and contributed significantly to its successful establishment and completion, creating state-of-the-art research facilities in Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Embodied Robotics.
He has published several research papers in reputed Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed international journals. His research interests include Autonomous Mobile Robots, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Internet of Things, VLSI, Embedded Systems, and Machine Learning. He is committed to promoting industry-oriented learning, interdisciplinary research, and the development of innovative technologies that address real-world engineering challenges.
